Australia’s prime minister said the global recession and slackening Chinese growth would result in a A$115bn ($73bn) tax shortfall over the next four years, forcing the government into a budget deficit for the first time since the 2001-02 fiscal year.	澳大利亚总理陆克文(Kevin Rudd)表示，全球经济衰退和中国增长减速将在今后四年给该国带来1150亿澳元（合730亿美元）的税收缺口，迫使政府自2001-02财政年度以来首次出现预算赤字。

Deterioration in the Australian government’s financial position follows the International Monetary Fund forecast at the weekend that the country’s economy would contract by 0.2 per cent in 2009, down from its previous forecast of 2.2 per cent growth.	在澳大利亚政府承认财政状况恶化之前，国际货币基金组织(IMF)在上周末预测，2009年澳大利亚经济将收缩0.2%，低于此前增长2.2%的预期。
